Developed over an extensive four month intensive design project, the First Nations Contemporary Archive explores the concept of a a modern day museum & archival institution for the first nations people of the Great Plains. The project is intended to be the anchor for the future West Village Master Plan in Calgary, as both a documentation centre of oral tradition and as a publicly accessible building, with a gallery, theatre and accessible archive.
The project used a combination of Rhino and Grasshopper for the development of the facade geometry. The punched faced pattern was created by incorporating an artists patterning.
The group project was done in collaboration with Ryan Schwartz.
